As many know, Doyle Brunson is nicknamed "Texas Dolly" and came from a mistake made by a good friend. Jimmy "The Greek" Snyder was supposed to announce Brunson as "Texas Doyle" but incorrectly pronounced his first name as Dolly, calling him "Texas Dolly". Ever since that date the nickname has stuck.
