Speed Poker 4m3o3x

word type: noun

  1. A faster-paced style of poker tournament.

Structure 2p1e65

The primary difference in structure between speed poker and standard tournament poker involves giving players less time (such as 20 seconds) to act and make decisions, thereby keeping the action moving along at a quicker pace. Sometimes the pace is further enhanced by using two dealers at the same table. Speed poker is played in very few tournaments besides the Aussie Millions.

Usually there is a some kind of "time button" that is available for a player to use in order to take more time during one or a few decisions throughout the tournament.

The Need for Speed 666a2e

Poker strongly believes that the speed tournament is a fun and exciting style of tournament play and would be well received as a change to the often tedious pace of standard poker tournaments.
